We, the charming seniors, had arranged an ice-breaking session for our juniors on 22nd January. They were already late admitted due to this pandemic situation. Anyhow, we managed to create a rapport with them. This session is purely meant to chuck off the inhibitions in them. They were given small duties and tasks. They have cooperated very well. They have done the task perfectly and it was fun to watch.
Second seminar about Gandhiji was conducted on February-17-2020. The class was taken by famous politician and Member of Legislative Assembly Sri Mullakara Ratnakaran. He conducted the class based on the topic Gandhian views on peace and equality. He stressed the importance of secularism in the present world. A poster competition was also conducted. And our class secured second prize
2nd February of each year is World wetlands day to raise global awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and our planet. Wetlands and Biodiversity is the theme for 2020. Wetlands are rich with biodiversity and are a habitat for dense variety of plants and animals. Latest estimate show a decline in biodiversity. Inorder to give awareness about the need of protection of wetlands, one day workshop was conducted on 03-02-2020. The workshop was conducted by WWF and Bhoomitrasena of St Gregorios college. The workshop was inaugurated by Sri.Shyalamalaamma, chairperson of kottarakara municipality. Inagural address was given by Dr Suman Alexander, principal of SG college. The classes was conducted by Dr Ranjan Mathew, N. K Shivakumar, Sujith B Gopan. The class mainly pointed out the threats faced by wetlands of Kerala.
