FILED TRIP





Based on our two year B. Ed curriculum on 9/10/19 we went for a field trip to various well known places of kerala. We started our journey from Kottarakara at about 7:30 am. After that we visited Kumaranashan smarakam.  Then we went to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thumba for watching the rocket launch. As a physical science student it was a precious moment for me. Then we went to Koyikal palace at Nedumangadu. We got the opportunity to see various artifacts of different era. After that we went to Meenmutti waterfalls. It was a very beautiful place maintained with care. We reached home at 8:30 pm.

WORLD WETLANDS DAY 2020

2nd February of each year is World wetlands day to raise global awareness about the  vital role of wetlands for people and our planet. Wetlands and Biodiversity is the theme for 2020. Wetlands are rich with biodiversity and are a habitat for dense variety of plants and animals. Latest estimate show a decline in biodiversity. Inorder to give awareness about the need of protection of wetlands, one day workshop was conducted on 03-02-2020. The workshop was conducted by WWF and Bhoomitrasena of St Gregorios college. The workshop was inaugurated by Sri.Shyalamalaamma, chairperson of kottarakara municipality. Inagural address was given by Dr Suman Alexander, principal of SG college. The classes was conducted by Dr Ranjan Mathew, N. K Shivakumar, Sujith B Gopan.  The class mainly pointed out the threats faced by wetlands of Kerala.

MY PROJECT- A CASE STUDY ON CSI VHS & HSS FOR DEAF VALAKOM.

As part of our B. Ed curriculum, the student teacher has to take up a minor research project action research or case study during the course. The task or theme selected should be  relevant socially, academically, and contextually and has to be undertaken in phased manner  as per schedule under the guidance of a superior. The investigator selected on academically  relevant topic entitled "A CASE STUDY ON CSI VHS & HSS FOR DEAF, VALAKOM”. Education in school will improve the ability of children who are deaf or cannot hear  well to communicate, and can give them skills to lead productive lives and to support their   families. At school, deaf children can learn to read and write often the only ways that deaf people can communicate with people who do not know sign language or cannot understand  their speech.
